2 Year position to fulfill current term. Applicant must reside inside city limits of Alma. Appointment ends December 21, 2022. At that time applicant would be eligible to run for next election. $34,000 plus benefits package which include medical insurance for employee, family coverage is available for little cost. City Clerk is responsible for finances and city records. City Clerk will work closely with Deputy Clerk maintaining records and funds for yearly audits. Responsibilities include but not limited to: accounts payable, annual budgets, payroll, federal and state taxes, W-2’s, APERS, firemen pension meetings, city council meetings, agendas, minutes, and attending meetings, balancing and reconciling accounts. this position will report to City Council and work collaboratively with Mayor and department heads.
